great menudo. good customer service. great daily specials also. full service menu for both mexican and american style dishes.

Passing by this place you wouldn't expect much from the looks of it and that's where you'd be wrong. This previous convenience store location doesn't draw you in with its architecture but what it lacks in outward beauty it makes up for with some of the most flavorful Mexican food you'll ever have in San Angelo. The freshness of the ceviche tostada and the melding of the fish, tomato, cilantro, and acidic juices lifts your spirits. This delicate concoction is juxtaposed next to a firmly crisp tostada and topped with creamy fresh avocado slices and makes for a refreshingly light appetizer. If that weren't enough, Caldo de Res was next and it did not disappoint. Tender falling off-the- soup-bones beef is featured prominently with cabbage, corn, zucchini, carrots, and a side of homemade rice. Another plus in my book is that they made their own corn tortillas in house. They reminded my wife of her grandmother's metal press tortillas. The salsa is perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat and fruity tomato. I've been wanting to come here for awhile and I do feel that I was rewarded with a wonderful meal. They have a well rounded menu with something for everyone and I recommend this place without reservation.

We had breakfast here. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The Huevo Rancheros were great and very spicy. If we are ever in San Angelo again, we will definitely come here again.

This restaurant is definitely worth trying. Very clean, super hospitality and very good service. We live in San Antonio and there are many very good, small, family-owned places at which to eat. This place would hold their own against any of them. The Caldo de Res (beef soup) is prepared in authentic fashion with oxtails as the beef. Some of the most flavorful caldo ever! Tamales, enchiladas and corn tortillas were also awesome as was the meat sauce that covered the enchiladas and tamales. Prices were very competitive. Save us a table or booth...we'll definitely return!

This is a fairly new, hidden treasure for me. I breakfast!! And this place brought the huevos rancheros. I was impressed by the decent portion size and cleanliness of the restaurant. The beans and ranchero sauce had a nice flavor. I was disappointed in being charged for chips and salsa at breakfast and the bland horchata (but I know everyone likes their horchata differently). I will be returning, for lunch most likely, to give the rest of the menu a shot.
